I can't say enough good things about The Place for Children with Autism! This place truly stands out for its exceptional care and dedication to children with autism. From the very first moment, I felt confident that my child was in the best hands. The clinical team is outstanding — highly professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly caring. They are not only experts in their field but also kind and compassionate, making sure every child feels valued and supported. The staff goes above and beyond to create a positive, nurturing environment where children can thrive. I wholeheartedly recommend The Place for Children with Autism to any family in need of support. Truly the best place ever!
So unprofessional. They will literally cancel his class and will notify you start time of sessions after you get there just to tell you they have to cancel his class. Waste of gas, time and we have to call off work a lot due to this. Them canceling his class happens over 20 times this year of them canceling his class which put me in his mother in a tight spot for our day. Not to mention, majority of the ppl they hire don’t long, it’s a very high turn over rate! Most staff members knows nothing about autistic kids! This facility is all about milking their clients insurance! They take my non verbal son to the bathroom every two hours or more, by then it’s to late because he already potty on him self! Most of they toys aren’t sanitary or BPA and lead free. Seen plastic pieces on my son tongue when I pick him up from here. One day the staff members let him out side with a shirt on, just a jacket in cool weather. Their front door entrance window is super dirty, which my son put his face on time to time! They pair him with staff who feeds him snacks before offering him food! My son has developed cavities because of the unlimited snacks after I tell them time after time not to give him snacks until he finish his food! Do not enroll your kid at this facility AT ALL! My son hasn’t learned much here due to them sticking to one phase that he clearly understands! By far this is the worst location.
My son started here in 2018. He was non-verbal, resisted potty training, aggressive, and had social anxiety. Before we were referred to The Place, we tried whatever was recommended ( speech, OT, Early intervention, Special-Ed mixed classes). We only noticed the smallest of changes. At the Place, he started using the toilet and enjoying playtime with the other children! After the first year (5 y/o) he started speaking and can actually express himself in complete sentences or ask a question! I wish we would have taken a before video because he has advanced so much. Also I think it's important to mention that they also provide parent training so parents have tools to use at home.
