Our son has OT with Macie, he looks forward to every session with her. His favorite part is the big gym, he is learning through play…but for him the focus is the fun!

Hunter and all of the staff that I interacted with were so caring and kind as I brought my toddler for her speech evaluation. As a first time parent, it really put me at ease to know that this facility truly cares.

I have never seen a therapy center where every therapist truly gives 110%. Therapy Smarts has been absolutely life-changing for my son. He has been attending for about a year now, and the progress he’s made is incredible. I am beyond grateful for the dedication that CEO Avani has poured into this place—it truly shows in the care and culture. Therapists Hunter, Kiara, Hannah P., Hayden, Hannah R and Lily have all worked with my son, and each one has gone above and beyond. My son genuinely looks forward to his weekly sessions, which speaks volumes. Thank you for not only treating my child with such care, but for treating our family like family. I highly recommend Therapy Smarts to anyone looking for real results and heartfelt support

My daughter has been attending the ABA school for two years. And I cannot express how happy and pleased I am with the amazing results we have seen. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for ABA program. The progress and growth I have witnessed from the beginning until now have been truly incredible. Never wait or doubt when it comes to finding immediate help for your help for your child- this is the place to start. Thank you so much to all the RBT’s, therapist, and Avani. For warmly welcoming my daughter and me and for all that you do.

My 6-year-old needed a speech therapist, so after doing thorough research and reading great reviews, I chose Therapy Smarts in Durham. I was genuinely excited for my son’s appointment. When we arrived, the receptionist was on the phone. I assumed once she finished, she would greet us or explain the check-in process. Unfortunately, after ending her call, there was no greeting or acknowledgment at all. I only realized I needed to check in because I noticed the iPad myself. That experience was off-putting and immediately made me reconsider whether this was the right place. A few moments later, Kendall—the speech therapist who evaluated my son—came out, and everything changed. Her warm welcome, positive energy, and patience instantly put both me at ease. She was absolutely wonderful with him, and he felt very comfortable during the session. Her professionalism and kindness truly stood out. Overall, I would recommend Therapy Smarts because of the quality of care and therapists like Kendall. However, I’m giving 3 stars due to the initial front-desk experience. First impressions matter, and a welcoming environment starts at the front desk. In a world that could use more kindness, I hope the receptionist can take a page from Kendall’s approach 😊

Delia Boyer red director of Mental Health for therapy smarts and my 10-year-old son's therapist of 5 years is hands down the absolute best child mental health provider that you will find easily in the state of North Carolina. She has Decades of experience and is extraordinarily knowledgeable, experienced, professional, candid, compassionate, respected & EFFECTIVE. She has an intuition with the most complex of pediatric patient's as well, that I don't believe can be taught and is something that is either innate or doesn't exist. I've worked with a dozen+ child providers that don't have it. Ms. Boyer choose PCIT for my son at age 5 which is an evidence-based modality that directly involves the parent/family & was/remains a gamechanger for us. It's the sole reason I'm able to understand & communicate with my own child in the way he needs & understands. Which isn't something I knew we needed & has nothing to do with parenting styles or what you can find in parenting books, classes, coaching or the like. When your child is neurodivergent/neuro atypical or whatever term you use, there is so much we as parents don't know we don't know let alone what a difference our whole life can be once we do . More importantly what a difference it makes in our child's life, family's life & the future available to our kid's when we can be trained to understand them, see things from thier view, engage with them in an effective & positive manner that they respond to, understand & thrive because of. When they are too young to understand what they need themselves & they don't fall wiJamal II is

Really great staff! My daughter learned so much just in the evaluation. However, I wished they catered more to students who have school during the day. Your kiddo might miss school a lot due to less scheduleling options.
