We have been waiting about a year for an appointment, I’ll update my review once or IF we ever get on the schedule. This has been really difficult for us, my now 3 year old needs services. UPDATE: very shortly after I made this review, I’m happy to report. They reached out to me and got my daughter scheduled. We are set for our appointment today and I appreciate how informative and helpful the staff has been, they have taken care of us pretty well, that’s all I wanted is to get my child taken care of! Thank you!
I don’t know why they are poor reviews. Our experience is much different while it can take a few days to get a return call. They are very fast with responding through choc link. The team is wonderful and very thorough. My son‘s neurologist and child psychologist are fantastic and really listen to everything that I am concerned about. My son has severe autism and the staff makes him very comfortable and are extremely accommodating for us. I absolutely recommend them. I drive from Riverside just to come here.
The center has been a blessing for us. They would coordinate care, remind us of appointments and offer multiple visits from different clinicians on the same day to minimize us having to go there. The therapists are very caring and engaging. They constantly find things that would interest my child. The director, Dr Michael Cameron is excellent, offering both expertise and connections in the austism world. He is hands on and always on the look out for different ways to get thru to my child; They have a connection! He also participates in parent training. I can see the caring in their interaction and perhaps that’s why my child loves coming to the center.
I got the email with the link to fill it out because they only give you 2 weeks, I spent 5 days trying to open the link . Then I spent 4 days emailing intake coordinator before our application time limit was up , I didn't hear from her until 2 days my application had closed. I filled out the application twice and they said it still wasn't complete. You try to call no answer, you ask for a option to fill out physical form no response. I am very disappointed how these choc centers have declined.
Beware: "Billing practice of their Neurology Dept"- I took my child to see a Neurologist at their center. The doctor was good and so was the staff. However, it seems like one has to be very careful with their billing practice. They will send you a statement later with all the hidden charges. We did not even spend an hour with the doctor but received a statement to make additional payment for prolonged visit (other than our copay). We have been to several hospitals and seen several Specialists but never ever did we have to pay additional charges for prolonged visit ( including any non face to face patient encounter for reviewing reports, etc). The billing office uses the prolong visit billing code to have families pay more towards their office visit. Would recommend other families to be careful when making an appointment with their neurology department as u might end up paying thousands of dollars just for an office visit. Again, they wont charge this upfront but send you a statement later. Calling their billing office is of no help as the staff lacks basic customer service ethics. I even filed a grievance with their business office about this unfair billing practice but nobody bothered to respond.
