Really disappointed with Tibs for Kids in Woodbridge. They cancel sessions last minute and never communicate properly. There’s no real supervision or admin support — it always feels like nobody’s in charge. Both the in-clinic and telehealth sessions are unorganized and not helpful for my kid. Super unprofessional overall. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for consistent ABA therapy.
This office is a disaster — disorganized, unprofessional, and borderline negligent. In Sept. 2024, I took my son to their Fredericksburg location for evaluations. That team was great — they explained costs, waitlists, and told us he needed Speech and OT twice a week. Since we live in Woodbridge, we scheduled OT at the Woodbridge office for Oct. 2024. That’s where everything fell apart. After his one OT session, we were told “we’ll call you” to schedule the next. They never did. I called multiple times and no one ever answered or got back to me. Eight months passed. No therapy. No communication. My son missed out on vital early intervention because they dropped the ball entirely. Fast forward to today — I needed his records to get him into a school-based program. I tried calling ahead. No answer. So we showed up in person. The front desk acted like we interrupted their whole day. They asked for his name and birthdate, then handed me a blank sheet of paper and told me to write my own release form. No template, just my name, my son's name and dob and to sign. They never asked for my ID to confirm who I was. They stopped me mid-writing and told me to email it instead. They then shredded the paper. I'm pretty sure that's a HIPAA violation. Then they suddenly claimed I owed over $300 for a deductible — never once billed me, emailed me, or mentioned it in the eight months since his last visit. If this was the reason they ghosted us, that’s even worse — I would’ve paid immediately had anyone told me. To make it worse, they put my dad on speakerphone while he gave his card info to cover the bill. They didn't even close the glass window. I had to close it myself to keep his private info from being broadcast to the waiting room. After that, they gave me “all the records” — except they left out notes from his only therapy session. When I asked for it, the front desk acted confused and annoyed. One of them turned to the other and loudly asked, “What’s this kid’s birthday?” in front of other patients. Eventually, they gave me the notes but said they “don’t usually give those out,” like it was a favor. This place is a mess. No communication, no professionalism, no respect for privacy, and no accountability.
My son has been coming to Tibs since it was called “Sensational kidz” he was in speech, PT, OT, and ABA. He recently graduated from PT, speech, and ABA and absolutely enjoyed his time there especially at ABA. He has been going since 6 months of age and is now 3.5 years old, we will definitely miss TIBS and their staff! Special shout out to RBT Bushra, my son and her had a great bond and she really made his time at TIBS special. I appreciate each and every therapist that has worked with him and helped him make progress. Now my baby will be off to pre-k!
My son went to the Springfield location for about 6-8 months and saw Kylie James. My son has truly enjoyed and loved the experience of going there and working with Ms. Kylie and just overall visiting the clinic. Ms. Kylie is truly the greatest and sweetest; she truly cares about her job and the kids she helps! She really listens to the issues you first present and does an excellent job assessing and developing a plan for treatment. We worked on joint attention and foundation skills for my son when he joined around 18 months and now he has said a few words, claps, waves bye bye, and shows more interest in function playing, taking turns, and listening! We would continue on with Ms. Kylie, but got into free more convenient services for him. We will absolutely love to come back if we ever needed to for future purposes!
My son has been seeing Ms. Kylie at the Springfield location, and within a short period of time, he started saying more words. She is so amazing and he loves her! Ms. Kylie is the sweetest and truly loves what she does. The front desk reps are also so sweet and they always welcome me and my son with a big smile. My son loves going to his appointments!
Ms. Kylie at the Springfield location has been working with my son since August. We could not be happier with Ms. Kylie's speech services. She is vibrant, fun, engaging, and professional. He has made tremendous progress with her in just a few months, both in articulation and in pragmatics. We have also done occupational therapy there and those services have been good as well. I also love how organized the front desk is re. scheduling. We have recurring appointments that have made it much easier to make sure my son's services are consistent. I recommend Sensational Kidz Springfield office, particularly, Ms. Kylie, very highly!
Our family has had a very positive experience with sensational kidz in Springfield. Our child receives speech therapy services with Ms Kylie. She is amazing! she is fun, personable, and extremely knowledgeable in her field. You can honestly tell she loves what she does every day! We love that in the beginning she took the time to learn our child's personality, learning style, and special needs to best help him his areas of need. Our son is making so much progress and he looks forward to meeting with Ms. Kylie each time! Additionally, the office staff is kind, personable and accommodating. Thank you Sensational kidz
