Haven't had my daughter in therapy for very long but they are not understanding the fact how her trauma came about an not respecting how she feels or her needs in this she has just as much rights maybe even more so for herself to heal they have no respect for the client or the mother as well

I am just going to say what I have witnessed throughout my time with Advanced behavioral health. The therapist are over booked and this causes poor communication from them to you. But most of them are very kind and caring and easy to make a connection with. I just wish there was a better way of them being able to have time to communicate with you without having to schedule a appointment. For example I will ask do you have any available times on Friday next week and will never receive a response until I have a appointment with them in person. Which causes a inconvenience because I may need to reschedule or have something come up that I need to know if they are available to attend like a IEP with the school. The mentorship program is great but I also believe it depends on the mentor you recive. Some mentors give you advanced notice on upcoming groups or appointments some only give you less than 24 hours notice. Some arrive on time and some are constantly late. This has been my honest opinion of ABH.

I've been with ABH since 2020 along with 2 of my children. The therapists I have worked with have been incredibly accommodating and are absolutely amazing. They have a lot of resources too! The office is nice but they also have telehealth. I don't think a more flexible group of therapists exist.

Flexibility in scheduling. Approach to working with teens. Everyone seems courteous and eager to help. My children have all had productive changes with their therapists.

ABH provided support with our teenager, and was excellent in helping with communication, coping, and anger management skills. You get out of this what you put in, most of the one star reviews are off topic. It takes work to see results!

I do not even think they deserve one star. EVERY single person we have dealt with whether mentor therapy and cannot forget their medication doctor has NEVER been on time. We have been with them over 5 years and that is ONLY because my daughter has formed a bond with her therapist and did not want to go through the tell your whole life story again. Even that bond is burning very fast. We had a lapse in insurance ( a week) and during her session she gets on the phone calls someone and starts saying oh I am not getting paid for this session and begins to pack up her things to leave, telling my daughter to keep talking she was listening. How can you be listening if you are talking to someone on the phone. OH!!! and do NOT get me started about Dr Baugh. Besides her snooty demeaner and the way she talks down to you she has NEVER did I say NEVER in god knows how many years has been on time for a session. Her excuse , there was someone in crisis. You did not know they were in crisis the first five minutes of your meeting? I cannot get a call to let me know you are running behind. I am not going to say late because that means 10-`15 minutes, not 30-60 minutes late. My time is money just like yours. What makes you think it is ok to waste peoples time. Then after you hang up after waiting 30 minutes, you get some chick with an attitude letting you know that Dr Baugh has been waiting for you to log on.....really? Oh I am just getting more mad with each key I type. YES it is THAT BAD! If someone says you need to go to ABH....RUN!!!!!!! RUN so fast in the opposite direction....and DON'T look back. Now that I think of it, no one we have dealt with at ABH has EVER been on time. If the website listed the CEO's email address I would have sent this directly to her. Since it is not...

I used to be a patient here when I was in high school. I recently started therapy again and my current therapist requested my files to look at previous diagnostics. I spoke with Raveen, the receptionist (she didn’t sound very happy to be there) sent me over the request forms. I sent them right back but didn’t get a confirmation or update that they were received. I called the next more and spoke with her again (still sounded like she didn’t want to be there) and she stated that they were received and that she had to send them to records. With not much given I presumed that I should receive them soon then. I called back today and spoke to Raveen who clearly had an attitude due to the fact that I was calling again asking for updates. She rudely said it takes up to a couple of weeks to get your records, your request was sent to records. Have a great day and hung up on me. For someone who spends all day talking to customers on the phone, this was an unacceptable situation. You need to make sure your staff is give out all the information so people don’t have to keep call back and OBVIOUSLY annoying your staff for updates. If your front desk acts like this I would hate to see what your therapist are like.

I have been trying to get a therapist booked at this practice because we were referred here by several people and primary care physician for a psychiatrist for med management. They scheduled an online therapist that apparently doesn't know what autism is and expects the patient to answer complex mental health questions independently and have immediate rapport with them(a stranger). Extremely unprofessional. Then they sent a letter saying they do not have an in-person therapist for his insurance when he has not one but 3!!!!!, let me repeat 3 insurances. This practice is a sinking ship. Stay away!

This practice was pretty good….until they weren’t. And then they were awful. There were tons of hurdles just to have my son evaluated. Our society talks about barriers to mental healthcare-this is a big one! If we want folks with mental illness to have a fighting chance then we need to make treatments as accessible and straightforward as possible. As parents, we can advocate for our kids, but how is a young adult with depression or ADHD ever going to be able to have the stamina to jump through all these hoops? When I finally got my son in and treated we were very happy with Dr.Verma and his therapist. We were receiving ongoing care for about a year. My son and our family made tremendous strides so we decided to dial back the therapy due to schedule and budget constraints (yet another barrier-therapy is very expensive) all while continuing to see Dr.Verma on a regular basis. The practice discharged my son without any notice because he stopped seeing the therapist. So even though we had been seen by Dr.Verma only 8 weeks prior, they abandoned him when I called to refill his prescriptions, abruptly discontinuing the medications he had been taking for a year. Apparently they have a policy that you cannot receive medication management unless you are also seeing a therapist for the entire duration of your care. Why hadn’t the dr or front office told us that at our previous visit? Why weren’t we called and told that our son would be discharged even though he had been seen by the dr 8 weeks prior. I understand needing therapy at the beginning of treatment-that was invaluable to us. But the entire duration of treatment? My son had been stable on these meds for a year. Who has money for that? Not to mention the message it sends to their patients-they don’t actually want you to get better and stop needing therapy. More therapy brings in more revenue I guess. Thankfully I was able to get his primary care Dr to write his prescriptions. But what about the patients that don’t have parents to advocate for them, or the voice to stand up for themselves (we are talking about mental illness here) Then they are forced to abruptly stop medication? This is beyond irresponsible and dangerous. This is a suicide or school shooting waiting to happen. Advanced Behavioral Health abandoned my son. I cannot and will not recommend them.
