Dr Stokes is very caring and a wonderful doctor. I feel I have a very strong ally looking out for me when I talk to her.
My experience with the Chesapeake Center for ADHD and Behavioral Health was beyond exceptional. From the administrative side to the clinical team, every step exceeded my expectations. The diagnostic testing process was incredibly thorough, and I am grateful for the level of detail and care they put into their work. A special shoutout to Cesia Rodriguez, the testing coordinator, for making the entire process smooth, organized, and stress-free. I can’t recommend this center highly enough.
Nurse Hennessy is highly competent, insightful, intelligent and really an incredible care giver. I feel blessed that she is taking care of my family.
I had a very positive experience at Chesapeake. Ms. Wendy Sharp was warm, friendly, and welcoming. I felt genuinely heard and supported throughout the process. It was a helpful and encouraging visit.
First of all, if you can minimize any contact with some of the less capable elements of their bureaucracy, the treatment experience is top notch. However, they will try to charge you for cancellations made less than five days in advance. They are gleefully unapologetic when confronted with the absurdity of such anti-consumer policies, but this sort of take-it-or-leave-it approach is more and more the nature of interacting with Chesapeake. I actually had an experience with one of the lesser lights in their office where the secretary on the other end of an email exchange ultimately couldn't figure out that I wanted to cancel an appointment even after five separate emails had passed between us. I finally had to give up and keep the appointment in hopes that maybe next time I would be lucky enough to communicate with someone more capable and literate. From what I can gather after several years as a patient, it seems like they've grown to the point where they're having to make some sacrifices and hire from the shallower end of the talent pool, or maybe it's just that the lower quality of employee they're taking on just find it easier to be indifferent to whether they're providing a good customer service experience. Despite a long record of treatment here, the appointment I was forced to keep will be my last. Do not recommend. Best of luck.
